Sadly today Nicklaus passed on and is now playing with all the other dogs & cats in their playground and will be sadly missed. Nick would have turned 14 in August and has been a great dog.
He had a lesion (basically a tumor) in his brain that caused his untimely end.

Hey there, Auggie and Monster here, Dad has been pretty busy (or so he says) so we thought would we pop in here since it has been SO long since a new post. The weather is getting really nice outside (not that WE get to go out) and dad has been taking good care of the yard. Nothing else too exciting to report.

Yeah you read that correctly, Head in a bucket. So Mom was cleaning the freezer and Nick got some of the 1st bucket of ice cream, then she gave the rest to me to figure out how to get it out.
I was REALLY working to get those few Pralines (& Cream) left at the bottom… GOT THEM ALL THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Ok they take good care of us, but there were thunderstorms on Wednesday night and I tore up my bed… I am all good now that we are home, but need a new outside bed.

Mom & Dad are going to a Dia De Los Muertos event today (Dia De Los Muertos actually runs Oct 31 - Nov 2) while it sounds morbid, it actually isn’t as it is paying respect and tribute to those who are no longer here (for me in my Dog life.. I can think of our cats, Bix and Chelan).

So today Dad came home and tells us that Sur la Table called him and they have a COMPLIMENTARY PERSONALLY SIGNED book from Giada waiting for him.
This was very cool of them to step up and take care of Dad after the cluster “F” they had in regards to the ticket and the lack of shared information when he called. Dad says he will go to pick it up on Saturday.
So Dad didn’t get to meet Giada today and sign her new book for him….
…….since no one told him that he had to pre-buy a ticket.
(Oh and he called the Kierlan Commons Sur La Table location on Wed to clarify their signing process….)

Dad told me that Mom & Dad were like # 75 in line when they arrived with their chairs @ 9am …
At 10am Mom held their spot in line and Dad went to get his book and when he asked about the ticket he heard mentioned in the crowd and the Sur la Table bitch behind the counter told him he HAD to have a ticket and they were … guess what…??
S O L D O U T ….
that’s right folks… Dad then told me that the ol’ shit hit the fan at Sur la Table to say the least as he chewed them out for not telling him when he called SPECIFICALLY to find out their process……
